For nearly four decades, I have endeavored to communicate my vision with
passion and proficiency. My photographic explorations of light and tone
exhibit a powerful counterpoint to communicate a sense of place and evoke
feelings of connection. I strive to provide my audience a glimpse into the
soul of my subjects through bold and brilliant colors, dramatic contrast
and the harmonious interplay of light, lens and film.

My experience across nature and landscape, photo journalism, commercial
studio work and distinctive portraiture has honed my responsiveness to
convey a unique perspective in my fine artwork. J&K Gerlich Photographic
Arts, formed twelve years ago with my wife, Kat, has allowed me to travel
and explore diverse subject matter, typically emphasizing natural and/or
historic themes. I am honored to have had my work featured on magazine
covers as well as on display in public, private and corporate venues, and
to have been invited to exhibit at 'Top 50' fine art festivals.
